It was a smoothie soiree as the young people experimented with all different flavors of this fruity and refreshing treat!

Everyone had fun and got a little messy with their creations...

The day was a great success attended by around 100 Foyer staff and residents involved in the Foyer Health Programme. The event was all about celebrating the success and highlights of the Foyer Health programme and demonstrating the unique work of Foyers.

Residents Jess Lawrence, Darren Hobden and Ben Munnrey kicked off the event by sharing their experiences of setting up their Breakfast and Sandwich Club at Brighton and Hove Foyer

Keynote Speaker Paul Hooper, Regional Tobacco Policy Manager for the Department of Health addressed how Foyer staff and residents can explore alternatives to smoking and how we can all engage in healthy lifestyles

Over the course of the day Foyer staff and residents shared information and experiences of their Health programmes, other highlights included:

-Foyer staff and residents had an opportunity to practice some Tai Chi and to understand the benefits with Jon Price from the Rising Dragon Tai Chi School

- A British Military Fitness session helped to get the blood pumping for young people as they participated in the exercises

- NEF explored the Foyer Health slogan Take a positive step for your well-being and examined what people really mean when they talk about well-being
